How to use it without a fight

Take a little off each nail rather than doing the whole job at once. Look at the cut end as you go: as you get closer to the quick you'll see a small pale circle appear in the centre. Stop there.

On dark nails you can't see the quick, so go shorter and more often — a few seconds per nail, once a week, beats one long session every month.

Let your dog hear it running before it ever touches a paw. Most of the resistance is the sound, not the sensation.

Batteries are not included. Keep the wheel clear of long fur — hold the paw and separate the hair from the nail before you start.
